What About Yoga?

I am a Christ follower and love Jesus with my whole heart, mind, soul and strength. I initially started practicing yoga soley for the physical benefits, due to some thoracic spine and hip mobility issues.

Two years ago I felt called to take my yoga teacher training. I enrolled and learnt about the postures (asana) breathing (pranayama) and meditation (for me scripture.) I was also educated in some of the eastern philosophies that have adapted yoga to fit their beliefs. During this six months of training I dug deeper into my bible, asked for wisdom from the leadership of my church, as well as prayer. I graduated and began teaching yoga immediately, but with the intention of the classes being a Christ centred worship experience. I have had the honor of witnessing these clients come into a deeper relationship with God, find emotional healing, stress relief and great physical restoration and strength!
